Miles Welchman 

BSc (Hons) | Graduate Engineer

Following the completion of my Bachelors degree in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing at Plymouth University, I began my career as a Building Services Engineer in the Middle-East. Arriving back in London, I was employed by RED as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. A role in which I have greatly expanded my technical knowledge and confidence. With RED I have been able to work on a strategically important data centres for consortium of high-end clients.

RED provides a wide range of technical support including continuous CPD training and being given the opportunity to work on and deliver CFD analysis for plant areas and date centres. Consequently I have been able to grasp an in-depth understanding of the design and engineering involved in the development and maintenance of data centres.

During my training I have been heavily involved in the decision making process, liaising within the London office and Manila team generating detailed designs and engineering. There has always been clear scope for growth with RED and I am looking forward to developing further as a professional Mechanical Engineer.
