Building Services Projects

In the building services area a new Gymnasium is underway at Aiken Barracks in Dundalk, base to the 67 Reserve Infantry Batallion of the Defence Forces. Callaghan Engineering conducted an energy audit and identified savings of up to 40% in some areas. Key features of the design included variable air volume ventilation in the Gym based on occupancy, lighting control including the provision of daylight & presence sensors, and the provision of high level radiant panels in the sports hall.

Elsewhere, a number of greenfield school projects are commencing in Cork, Dublin and Galway. Callaghan Engineering also hopes to commence important school Summer works projects within the next few weeks.
