Data centre projects

A number of significant new data centre projects are currently underway with a prestigious multi-national client in the cloud computing space. These are fast track projects involving substantial electrical & mechanical services, and demanding very focussed project & construction management.

Callaghan Engineering has developed specific expertise in the provision and commissioning of electrical & mechanical services for data centre customers, and in particular surrounding the area of free cooling.

With ever increasing server densities comes a corresponding increase in cooling demand and therefore running costs. However, studies show that much of Ireland has the potential to provide free cooling for over 8,000 hours per annum and this can represent a substantial energy saving if properly harnessed & utilised.

Callaghan Engineering has developed and deployed a number of designs that provide substantial reductions in energy consumption and a corresponding increase in PUE.
