Description: Covidien, formerly Tyco Healthcare, is a global healthcare company involved in the production and supply of medical devices, medical imaging products, medical supplies and pharmaceutical products. Covidien has a well established presence and a substantial workforce in Ireland, where it has operations for nearly 30 years.
Covidien retained Callaghan engineering to provide process engineering services to develop the design for the refurbishment of a packaging room. A new high containment booth was recommended to meet the Occupational Exposure Limits (OEL) standards required including a complete room upgrade. Critical process utilities and process drainage were also upgraded to meet cGMP requirements.
